Key to the City is a pocket guide produced in conjunction with the South Carolina Historical Society in order to whet your appetite for all that Charleston and its surrounding area has to offer.

The guide contains a walking tour and a brief history of the area as well as numerous maps and photos.

For the walking tour, we selected what we believe to be some significant buildings that represent Charleston’s cultural and architectural history. To make your stroll through Charleston’s Historic District easier, we have divided our selections into neighborhoods that are color coded for easy reference both in our text and on our maps.
